3 Tips to Overcome Failures

Failure is success...

“Failure is success if we learn from it” (Malcolm Forbes).

It’s not our failures that define us; it’s our determination and willingness to win. If you learned any lesson from your failure, you’re successful! You’ve learned what not to do; and you have life lessons that can be used as seeds for success.

Failure is a part of life. However, our failures don’t have to stop us from achieving our goals. Many successful people such as Forbes have experienced temporary setbacks in pursuing their goals, but they overcame them. And if they did it, so will you!

Some people get this idea about me, because I write and teach about spirituality, success, joy, happiness, mindset and abundant living, that I don’t ever slip up and fail miserably in these areas.  But of course I’m human, so that’s not true.  I fail at things much more than you might imagine, and certainly far more than I’d often like to admit.

At some point or another I fail at everything, just like you, and it feels just as horrible for me as it does for you or anyone else.

I feel let down, depress and guilty, and try to avoid thinking about my failures, and would rather hide them. But deep down I know these negative reactions aren’t helpful.  So I own up to what happened, learn a lesson or two, and then get back up and try again.

I have failed so many times. For example, I tried several business ideas that never succeeded. My failures are terribly painful especially when I refused to accept the reality and refused to learn a lesson.

However, the lessons I learned from my failures are priceless. They helped me to become a better person and a better entrepreneur. Now, I believe that every failure is an opportunity to start over more intelligently.

To turn my failures into success, I follow these 3 tips:

  1. Pray and Meditate for clarity and direction
  2. Surround myself with friends and family for love and support
  3. Hire a professional coach, mentor or a counselor to help me get unstuck, get new perspective and help me get back up again
